~ Ghandi

!!!Attention Peace & Unity Marchers!!!
We are announcing our current full list of 65 countries which have requested to participate on Saturday, SEPTEMBER 21, 2013 – The International Day of Peace.

Global March for Peace & Unity began as an idea to create and host a global event platform for all people and peace organizations from around the world to collaborate on this day to show and celebrate peace. We want the world to see, feel, live, and spread peace.

This page started with just one like in January of this year and has now grown into over 10,000 likes, 65 country pages and over 200 cities worldwide! That’s not all – in addition to GMPU, there are many, many groups and organizations that are planning to participate on Peace Day. Check out this list to find even more events near you - http://1in7b.net/.

Several cities will be celebrating the International Day of Peace by gathering in nearby parks to talk about peace, play music, sing songs, walk for peace (http://silentpeacewalk.org/), have picnics/potlucks, meditate, pray, chant and many other fun activities for all ages. There’s still time to participate! Send us a message if you would like to help organize in your city.

Want to participate, but can’t attend any of these events? Here are some ideas for you: call into your local radio station and let them know about the International Day of Peace and ask them to play some peace songs, meditate or pray for peace on your own, go on your own silent peace walk (http://silentpeacewalk.org/), do something kind for a stranger, smile at or hug someone you don’t know, and anything else you can think of!
